FAKE MAYOR JOB OPEN.
Monty Hall, from Let's Make a Deal,
was the first "Hollywood Mayor",
& is rumored to be in the running again as well
"Oh no, no, no. Been there, done that," he said,
adding he'd rather raise money for charity
than glad-hand celebrities
"I've had four hospital wings named for me.
That's more important."
He got his star back in '73,
but he doesn't see any value in it.
"Your name in cement is something people trod on,
they walk all over you. It doesn't give you an Oscar."
"In a make-believe town," he said laughing,
"it's a make-believe honor, a big promo gimmick"
